We Were So Turned On es un disco tributo al hombre que invento la reinvención, pero además es un proyecto para recaudar fondos para War Child, asociación que que ayuda a niños afectados por la guerra en todo el mundo.
Fue mucho el hype generado a finales del año pasado el anuncio de un mega tributo al señor David Bowie, incluso se dijo que participarían artistas de la talla de Radiohead y MGMT.
El retraso en el lanzamiento de casi un año y los cambios en el line up de los artistas participantes hizo que el proyecto perdiera fuerza, tanto que ahora que por fin es lanzado, el buzz ha sido mínimo.
No por ello deja de ser un gran tributo, disco doble con 42 covers de lo mejor de Bowie y en el que colaboran Duran Duran, Carla Bruni, Megapuss, Chairlift, A Place to Bury a Stranger, Edward Sharpe entre otros.
El nombre del tributo no podía ser mejor ‘We Were So Turned On’ disco exalta el inherente impacto que David Robert Jones tiene en la cultura y la música, David Bowie es toda una leyenda y uno de los artistas más importantes de nuestros tiempos, y este disco es una prueba de ello.
